After starting out in the technology transfer world, evaluating and raising capital for promising startups, Jay began doing operations consulting work for privately held companies in the Greensboro area.

David left the CDC and founded Aces Health 2015 in order to address these challenges by leveraging mobile technology and artificial intelligence. Aces Health, now Dedo.ai, was acquired by a San Francisco based Venture Studio in 2018. Until recently, David managed BrightEdge, the philanthropic impact fund of the American Cancer society, investing in companies working on novel and innovative therapies, devices and technologies for cancer treatment.
